Bratrouchov · Western Krkonoše
A landscape of three valleys
The westernmost part of Krkonoše National Park is a spruce-covered ridge known as Vlčí hřeben (Wolf Ridge). Short tributaries of the Jizera rise here. Below the ridge opens a landscape of three valleys — and in one of them stands Vlekovna, surrounded by the forested horizons of Sachrův hřeben and Stráž.
The terrace looks out onto the hill Na Vršku — the Vranský potok valley opens beneath it, with Hejlov above.

We’re closer to Prague than Špindlerův Mlýn and Pec pod Sněžkou. Under two hours by car — the kind of drive people don’t expect on this side of the Krkonoše. Without it, the quiet wouldn’t be worth as much.
What people do here
Hiking. Trails begin at the chalet — you don’t drive anywhere. Marked paths lead to Vlčí hřeben, down to the Jizera and up Sachrův hřeben.
Cross-country skiing. From the chalet the tracks are a seven-to-ten-minute drive — you don’t ski from the door, but they’re close. The Krkonoše grand tour and local loops. This side of the range holds snow earlier and longer than the southern slopes.
Ski slopes. Rokytnice nad Jizerou, Harrachov, Paseky nad Jizerou. Vlekovna is not ski-in / ski-out — you drive to the slopes.
Sledding. A slope right by the chalet. It’s not a run — it fits sleds and children, who have the whole hill to themselves.
Nothing. That is a legitimate itinerary, and most of our guests choose it.

How to get here
You can't drive right up to the chalet's door. You'll park about 130 metres away, 550 in winter. The last stretch is on foot. It's the one thing worth sorting out before you come.
